How much does the Nha Trang Cable Car cost?

A cable-car-only return ticket costs 200,000 VND, or 150,000 VND one way. A VinWonders ticket costs 976,500 VND for adults and includes the return ride.

Can I ride the cable car without going to VinWonders?

Yes. The cable-car-only ticket covers the ride and Vinpearl Harbour, with its shops, restaurants and evening shows. Entering the park needs a VinWonders ticket.

Is the Nha Trang cable car open in November 2026?

Not at the start: the line is closed for maintenance from 26 October to 10 November 2026. Speedboats take ticket holders to the island in the meantime, and the park stays open.

When is the queue shortest?

Early morning or late afternoon. On a crowded day the wait at the mainland station can reach about an hour, and the station is not air-conditioned.

Can I take luggage on the cable car?

Bulky luggage and pets are not allowed. VinWonders has lockers near its entrance for smaller bags.

Do children need a ticket?

Children under 100 cm ride free. In VinWonders, children under 140 cm and under 14 must be with an adult.

Nha Trang Cable Car

8 minutes in a cabin over open sea, from the Nha Trang seafront out to Hon Tre island.

The Nha Trang Cable Car is the Vinpearl gondola line across Nha Trang Bay. It runs from a station on the city's seafront road to Hon Tre island, where the VinWonders theme park and the Vinpearl Harbour shopping and dining quarter sit on the shore.

The first line opened in 2007 and was the world's longest sea-crossing cable car until the Phu Quoc line took the Guinness record in 2018. In January 2024 a new Doppelmayr system replaced it, faster and with larger cabins.

Open sea below

Almost the whole line runs over the bay, with the city and its hills behind you on the way out.

Sunset and night rides

The cabins run until 22:00, so you can ride out in the late afternoon and come back after dark over the lit-up line.

VinWonders at the far end

The theme park on Hon Tre has rides, a water park and an aquarium; its ticket includes the return cable car.

Vinpearl Harbour

Shops, restaurants and evening shows by the island station, open to anyone with a cable-car-only ticket.

Runs in most weather

Rain and moderate wind do not stop the cabins. When a storm does, speedboats take ticket holders to the island at no extra charge.

Shows after dark

At Vinpearl Harbour a water music show starts at 19:00 and the Tata Show at 19:30; the evening ticket covers both.
